About
A lighting company, not a general contractor
Next Iva Outdoor works on residential outdoor lighting. The subject is the house and the ground around it after sunset. The company is based in Sacramento, California.
What the work includes
Design and placement, installation of low-voltage landscape and architectural lighting, path and step lighting, tree and garden lighting, patio and outdoor-living lighting, and service of systems that are already in the ground. The aim is usable, directed light with the source under control.
The company does not present itself as a general electrician, a landscaping firm, or a remodeling contractor. Indoor lighting, panel upgrades, irrigation, hardscape construction, and whole-house projects sit outside this specialty.
How Next Iva Outdoor approaches a property
The first useful information is how the house is seen and how people move: the street view, the door, the path around the side, the patio. A lighting plan that starts from a product list usually ends as a product list.
Night aiming is part of the work, not a courtesy. Plants will grow. Outdoor connections and equipment have to be chosen and placed for weather and site conditions—moisture, irrigation, and soil. A layout that cannot be serviced later is incomplete.
